Can You Solve This Riddle? The Mystery of the Frozen Soda!?

At school last Thursday, it was 31 degrees Fahrenheit the whole day!! It was below freezing point temperature!! The food workers put lots of sodas outside at 8:00 a.m. in the morning. The food workers put them all on a table. None of the sodas were in coolers, or boxes, or containers, or anything like that. They just put them all on a table, and they were not touched at all by any people or animals or anything. They just sat there. The sun never came out the whole day.

Tim and Raymond got to the counter at 12 noon, and it was still 31 degrees. Tim grabbed a soda, and Raymond grabbed a soda. Why was Tim's soda chilly-- but Raymond's soda was frozen solid like a rock??

The sun never shined at all, the whole day. Raymond said, "Why is your soda cold and you can still open it?? But mine is frozen like a rock and I shake it and the soda is frozen like a rock!!??"

Why was Tim's soda cold and chilly, but Raymond's was totally frozen solid???

HINT: It involves some ingredient inside the soda!!

RAymonds was a crappy diet soda, with no sugar, so the freezing temp was higher cuz sugar lowers the freezing temp!!

was it freezing point depression since the one that was not frozen is a regular soda because it has sugar, which depress the freezing point. Where as the one with out sugar (diet soda) will freeze before the one with sugar.

Maybe Tim's had a higher salt capacity so the salt melted the ice away, you know, like at Tahoe and places where it snows, they put salt all over the ground to melt the snow, really, they do it all the time.
