One day a sheriff's deputy clocked a guy going 70 in a 55, so he hit the siren and pulled the guy over. "Can I see your license and registration sir?" The guy replied "I don't have those, but I do have a body in the trunk and a gun in the glove compartment."
Confused, the young deputy asked him to repeat that. "I said I don't have a license or registration, but I have a body in the trunk and a gun in the glove compartment." The deputy backed away and said "You wait right there sir." He went back to the squad car and grabbed his radio. "Um yeah I'm gonna need some backup---please send the sheriff." 15 minutes later the sheriff showed up and asked the deputy what the problem was. "I pulled this guy over for doing 70 in a 55 and he had no ID, no registration, but he claims to have a body in the trunk and a gun in his glove." The sheriff told him to wait there, then he approached the car.
"Excuse me sir, can I see your drivers license?" "Sure" says the guy, hands him a valid license. "How about your registration?" Immediately the guy pulls the registration from his visor and hands it over. Confused, but still apprehensive, the sheriff said "Please open your glove box sir." The guy obeyed, and removed nothing but some papers and an owners manual. "Just one more thing, will you pop your trunk so I can have a look?" The sheriff opened the trunk and saw nothing but jumper cables and a spare tire.
He went back to the driver's window, laughing, and said "You'll have to forgive my deputy, he's kind of young. He told me you had a gun in your glove compartment and a dead body in the trunk!" The man replies...
"Man I bet that fool even told you I was speeding."
